Random Thought About Big Name Internet Marketers And Other Stuff

Sunday, November 22nd, 2009

Has anyone ever noticed that most, if not all of the big name Internet Marketers, sell Internet Marketing stuff? I mean, I’m sure that they also deal with niches other than Internet Marketing, but the only reason why they’re famous is because of the hype they have around their own individual Internet Marketing product. Why does it have to be the case that all Internet Marketers are so wary to show their niches? The reason why it’s so hard for the little guys to make it eventually is because everyone’s so secretive! How are you meant to learn how to do that niche research in the first place?

Does anyone actually know of a professional Internet Marketer who’s professional because of his expertise in identifying profitable niches and turning them into profit? I want to be a part of a new wave, a new generation of Internet Marketers who focus on niches other than Internet Marketing to actually make money online. Sure, I don’t think I’ll make as much money as the big boys do, but I won’t have to sell my soul at least. I want to be transparent with my campaigns, which is going to be hard, but I think it’s what will make me stand out and that which I will ultimately be known for.

I will focus on social networking and not for building business, but for spreading awareness. I’m young, I’ve got this need to socialise on Facebook and Youtube so why not make the most of the my youth in an Internet Marketing context while I still have the chance to?

I am a university student, first and foremost. I have to focus on my studies, which means that the income I make online will have to be passive. It will either be passive or it will be money that I can make in a short amount of time.

Oh and in other news, I was just banned from the Warrior Forum for a week for “blatant self promotion.” Should’ve seen it coming. -_-” Oh well. On the bright side, it will take away a distraction for me, meaning that when Wednesday does come, I can fully focus on Internet Marketing and niche research and stuff like that.

Today, while I was sitting in the doctor’s waiting room, I felt this laser-sharp focus settle upon me. I just wanted to go home, defeat my indecision and start making the serious money online that I want and deserve. This is what I’ll think about next time to inspire and focus me:

  • mum asking if I can check online for her, to look for any new jobs,
  • dad working his butt off for me his entire life in restaurants to provide me a future,
  • me, needing to be ready, needing to be a financially secure man, in the event that I am a father,

These all inspire me to get that passive income that I want. And I will get there, no matter what. I just have to remember to take massive action, to not deliberate for longer than a minute on a decision and to not get it right, just to get it going!

Tall Poppy Syndrome – The Reason Why I’m Not Succeeding Online

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

I recently joined up to the DigitalPoint forum. If you read one of my earlier threads, you would have known that I was very interested in Jason Fladlien‘s products. Well, I did end up purchasing one, “How To Become a $40 An Hour Ghostwriter In Less Than 7 Days“. That isn’t an affiliate link, by the way, though it would be something that I would whole-heartedly promote. I watched the entire course yesterday and am pretty happy with it. In the process of waiting for my first few clients. I found out that putting up your services on the Warrior Forum costs $20 USD. Ugh. Will keep it in mind for next time.

Basically, I just need a job. Summer holidays are fast approaching and, well, I want a car by Christmas time. Somewhat ambitious, I know, but still. I don’t intend to find a “real” job, since I know there is a high demand for article writers online. I want to try out this ghostwriting gig for a week or so and see where it takes me. It’s a fallback, basically. There’s been… reasons for me of recent to find a job. I’ve had to step up and become more of a man. It’s not about supporting myself anymore, but being able to support someone else.

Anyway, I’m rambling again. God I have a habit of doing that. Sorry. Anyway yes back to the topic of the post. You know sometimes when you’re on Internet Marketing forums and you find posts where someone “effortlessly” made $500 overnight or something? I dunno about you, but the first thing I feel is jealousy. envy. Whatever you want to call it. Of course it’s unjustified. I don’t do nearly enough work online as I should to make myself a proper income, whereas they most likely put in the hard yards to do so.

That’s what makes you want to jump from fad to fad. Whether we like it or not, we’re inherently a species of immediate gratification. We want fast results with little effort. In Internet Marketing, we call that “leveraging”. Really, the best way to succeed online is to find a system that works for you and to just stick with it. Have faith in it. When there are all those new crazes and products going around, turn a blind eye and patiently plug away at whatever you’re doing. If you’re doing it right, you will reap rewards and see dividends to the time you’ve invested.

Ever since I’ve found Jason Fladlien, I’ve also found a new outlook on competitors. As long as you see them as competitors, you are always going to make less money. I’m sure a lot of you are familiar with this mindset but I’ll reiterate it anyway. They’re not competitors, they’re people that you can work with to make more money. It’s about leveraging what they have (there’s that word again) and synergising and co-operating.

I know why I’m not succeeding online. I’m not going to let it limit the success I find in the next 3 months. Do you know what’s holding you back?

Jason Fladlien Articles

Thursday, November 12th, 2009

So Jason Fladlien is an Internet Marketer that I’ve been into recently. He keeps things really simple and I’m going to buy some stuff on his website. Before I do though, I just want to check out some of his free stuff. He is an EzineArticles expert author and while checking out some of his articles, I found some pretty awesome information that I want to write in this post, mainly as a mental note for myself, but if this post does happen to get ranked, then hopefully you might benefit from it too.

There’s an article called, “Internet Marketing – The Best Way to Build a List” and the logic I find in this article makes sense to me. I mean, we’ve all heard of forum marketing, right? You know, chucking a link in your signature, blah blah blah. The reason why this article caught my eye is because of the sense the marketing made. Basically, you sign up to 3-4 forums, look back at the last 3-4 posts, find the recurring problems. Compile these into a short 15-20 report. Then, you link to this report on your blog. Then you put a link in the report to your site. If it’s a winner, then do the article, PPC and all that jazz. Makes sense to me.

There was another article, “How to Enter Any Niche & Determine If It’s Profitable Overnight“. Again, very awesome simple marketing logic. Reading through just again, this point jumped out at me: “What I like to do is look at what my competitors are offering to that niche. I try to find an information product that sells for $47 to that niche.” That never occurred to me. If it is a profitable niche, then people are already capitalizing on this.

This rides upon the previous article. So after you decide that it could potentially be profitable, then you make your report, write articles going to your site, put the report in your signature. This is further niche testing. Of course, you’ve gotta have a good offer, a good report and pretty good articles to make sure the niche testing is of decent quality itself.

There was another line that jumped out at me, for another reason: “It becomes a numbers game. Every 6 or 7 niches I invade, I find one that works pretty darn well, making it well worth my time.” WTF? ” 6 or 7 niches? How much marketing does this guy do?

I’m sort of distracted because I’m watching TV at the moment so I’ll write more on Jason Fladlien’s articles a different day.
