Sunday.
So it’s 11:58 pm over here. I’ve been spending the night studying half-assed for a Japanese quiz tomorrow.
At any rate, I feel that I’m pretty much over article marketing. I’m going to start outsourcing most, if not all, of it. Looking for a freelancer on elance.com. Waiting for a reply.
During the day, I caught a bit of a show that was aired in the US last year. It was a reality TV show produced by none other than Oprah Winfrey herself called “The Big Give”.
Just watching the difference the people participating in the show made in total strangers’ lives was extremely heartening and further solidified my desire to do the same sort of thing once I have that sort of money to spend.
It was particularly the part when one of the contestants had the epiphany that it was more about giving of yourself and your time than giving the money (which is still good) that is one of the main factors of giving that makes it so special. Anyone can give of themselves anytime. It’s just that no one does it due to fear and distrust.
It’s one thing I vow to start doing before my 20th birthday later this year. Also, I recognised one of the guys on the show as Cameron Johnson, self-made millionaire at the age of very young. Shut up, I can’t remember off the top of my head.
THAT’S who I want to be. Someone who’s rich and can give of themselves and give more because they “have it all”.
You know what I’ve dreamt of doing? I’ve dreamt of one day just walking around my fair city of Melbourne and giving away $100 notes to people on the street who I think need them. And I’m going to do it once a month.
